About Us
Pamiri Rights Watch is a dedicated human rights organization committed to defending the rights and freedoms of the Pamiri people and other marginalized communities in Tajikistan's Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO). Our mission is to document human rights violations, amplify the voices of victims, and advocate for justice, accountability, and the preservation of cultural identity.
Our Mission
We strive to:
Expose Abuses: Investigate and report on human rights violations, including arbitrary arrests, torture, and suppression of free expression.
Advocate for Justice: Engage with international bodies, governments, and civil society to hold perpetrators accountable and push for policy reforms.
Support Victims: Provide assistance and a platform for those affected by repression to share their stories and seek redress.
Preserve Cultural Identity: Protect the unique cultural and ethnic heritage of the Pamiri people against systemic erasure.
Our Approach
We employ a multifaceted strategy that includes:
Research and Documentation: Collecting credible evidence of human rights abuses through field reports, testimonies, and collaborations with local activists.
Advocacy and Outreach: Engaging with international human rights organizations, media outlets, and policymakers to raise awareness and prompt action.
Community Engagement: Working closely with the Pamiri diaspora and local communities to empower individuals and foster resilience.
